I am sitting in Starbucks trying to get things done. There is jazz playing over the speakers. It is smooth, but it can’t be smooth jazz because I don’t like smooth jazz. However, I do like this. It is jazz and it is smooth. But it is real jazz.
I wish potential employers could take Statements of Purpose and Cover Letters in bullet point format. I’ve got some great bullet points here, I’m tellin’ ya. I just don’t have the motivation to put them all together in cohesive sentences that say, “Hey you, I am smart and interested and a pretty cool/qualified lady for this here position, and I think you should give me money so I can survive after college.” Maybe I could use that sentence as a header and then say: “For example, here are some pretty impressive and relevant bullet points for you to read.”
Then I could sign it as, “Thank you for this opportunity. I have included my resume and some pretty things I designed once. Counting on your excellent sense of humor, Jessica Kelly.”
